FAQ
IS IT ORGANIC?
All our ingredients are organically sourced.
We thrive to work with the best quality products to offer you a unique taste.
Broadly defined, probiotics are microbes that confer benefits when consumed.
With Kult, the live lactic acid bacteria kultures confer functional benefits to our bodies by interacting with our gut.
WHAT DOES PROBIOTIC MEAN?
Kult is brewed in small batches in an artisanal fermentary in Belgium where quality prevails over quantity.
WHERE IS IT MADE?
Water kefir typically contains trace amounts of alcohol from the yeast metabolism (< 0,5 %).
DOES KULT CONTAIN ALCOHOL?
WHAT TYPE OF GINGER DOES KULT USE?
We source our organic ginger from Peru, as it is much more rich in flavour and aroma than Chinese ginger.
It is cold-pressed to preserve all nutrients and vitamins.
ARE THERE ADDED SUGARS?
Most of the sugar cane added in the fermentation process is transformed by the kultures. Kefir is therefore a perfect drink for people who want to limit their sugar intake
WHY IS THERE DEPOSIT AT THE BOTTOM OF MY BOTTLE?
The cold-pressed ginger juice we use is heavier than kefir. Therefore, it sinks.
Gently tilt the bottle to spread the ginger fever in your drink!
CAN I DRINK KULT WHILE PREGNANT?
It's up to you really. Note however that our kefir is raw and unpasteurized and that may not be adequate for all pregnancy diets.
Authentic kefir is unpasteurized. Outside the fridge, the living kultures would keep fermenting and producing bubbles. This could change the taste (although it will not turn bad) and could lead to your bottle popping unexpectedly.
WHY SHOULD KULT BE REFRIGERATED?
GLUTEN-FREE/ PALEO/ VEGAN/
LOW SUGAR/ LOW CAL?
YES!
HOW MUCH KULT CAN
I HAVE?
Your gut loves probiotics, but it needs some time to adjust to this shot of living kultures.
Start with 2 glasses a day, and increase gradually as you listen to your body.
Because of the similar form of the grains, they are often associated. However, they differ in the composition of their microbial communities and milk kefir ferments milk, rather than a fruity water.
However, they are both probiotics!
